On June 26, 2024, the "Optica Advanced Manufacturing Alliance Summit" successfully concluded at Focuslight Switzerland. Organized by Optica and hosted by Focuslight Technologies, the summit featured over 30 exciting tech-talks delivered by 35 senior experts in the field. More than 150 attendees participated, witnessing the kick-start of the Advanced Manufacturing Alliance.

The Advanced Manufacturing Alliance enhances the visibility of its members' technologies and services by promoting the use of optical elements and technologies in various fields, including optical communications, AR/VR, automotive, telecommunications, laser micromachining, quantum technologies, healthcare, manufacturing, and space exploration. And address the needs of the optical manufacturing sector by improving metrology methods, exploring new materials, and enhancing industry collaboration. This involves developing more precise and adaptable metrology techniques and assessing the potential of new materials and equipment.

More than 30 exciting tech talks were presented by industry experts and professionals, including topics of Design and materials, Enabling Tools and Metrology, Manufacturing Methods, and Innovative Products and Applications.

Factory Tour

Participants visited the Focuslight Switzerland factory, where core team experts from Focuslight introduced our advanced micro-optical manufacturing technologies. These included Photolithography-RIE (reactive ion etching) for Wafer-Level Precision Optics Manufacturing, Wafer-level Laser Optics Manufacturing, Imprint Precision Optics Manufacturing, Beam Transformation System (BTS), Beam Homogenization, and Line Beam Shaping. We were proud to introduce the advanced development and manufacturing processes at Focuslight, which caters to the automotive, optical communication, pan-semiconductor, medical and health application industries.
