Focuslight won the 2017 "Best Laser Technology Innovation Award”

On 7th?September 2019, Focuslight’s CW200W/bar high power semiconductor laser won the “Best Technology Innovation Award” on OFweek Laser Awards 2017.

OFweek Laser Awards 2017 was hosted by OFweek, which was designed to honor the superior contributive products, technics, and corporations for encouraging corporations to devote to technology innovation and infusing more innovative products and advanced technologies to expedite the industry’s development.

Focuslight’s CW200W/bar High Power Semiconductor Laser is based on a fully Au-Sn packaging method; the bonding of the bars and the patches of the secondary modules are au-sn interfacial material; and has optimized the thermal dissipation, thermal stress balance, and packaging technique. Thus, it has solved the inherent “big smile” problem of long-cavity high power laser when packaging the bars in au-sn interfacial material. The laser achieves an output optic of Smile<2μm (1.5μm in average), it is the first time that realizes an optical alignment less than 0.5 degrees and the beam direction deviation less than 0.1 degrees in microchannel-based stacks, those advantages shall benefit the optical shaping and processing of the light source output. Furthermore, this product can be widely applied in various fields such as solid-state laser pumping, scientific research, and industrial processing.

Over the same period, Cai Wanshao, General Manager of Focuslight Business Unit, gave a special report titled “The Encapsulation Technology Progress and Applications of Bar-Based High Power Semiconductor Laser” on OFweek Laser Seminar 2017.
